Abstract :
In this paper, a method is presented to recognition and modeling of three types of dormers from lidar data. The input data of this proposed algorithm involves raw roof lidar data, a regular grid of lidar data and an initial building model without superstructures. This proposed method is modular. The first stage provides a recognition type of dormers via a support vector machine. The second stage reconstructs the dormer models. Experiments show the efficiency of the proposed method.
