Abstract
Power flow is a useful tool for operation, planning and optimization of a system. Distribution systems, generally, refers to the power system network connected to loads at lower operating voltage. With increased distributed generation, recently, distribution power flow needs further investigation. Backward forward sweep method has been used for distribution system power flow analysis. This paper proposes the Newton Raphson power flow solution for three phase unbalanced and multiphase system for both radial and meshed topology. Different test cases have been simulated using the developed program to get satisfactory results. Developed program will be further used to investigate the voltage stability of distribution system.
