Abstract :
This paper presents a mixed signal circuit, which has been integrated in a triple metal, double poly, 0.8 μm CMOS technology and which realizes the baseband functions of a homodyne transceiver for cordless phone applications. The frequency hopped phone is a time division duplex system that uses π/4-QPSK modulation. Problems unique to direct conversion receivers are discussed, circuits are described and test results are given
