Abstract
We propose in this paper a GPS signal processing unit based on the acousto-optic technic. A 10323-point compact correlator is reviewed. It is matched to the GPS sequences through time compression hardware. Acquisition is implemented with a single Doppler-frequency search loop. The main advantage of the system is rapidity. The 1023-point correlation is performed in the 25-μs aperture of the acoustic cell
