Abstract :
Volunteered GI (VGI) popularized by Michael Goodchild in 2007, was to describe the Web phenomena of user-generated geographical content. Obviously the core part of VGI is user-contributed information, so the share and consume tools are very important. As already noted, the Web site is the most adopted tools. Those fortunate remain to people who can access the Internet-and broadband access in particular. However, due to the ´digital divide´, it was largely unavailable for the majority of the world´s population who live in developing countries. Fortunately, much could be achieved through mobile phones run with mobile GIS application. In this research a solution was proposed, using mobile GIS as VGI provider. Mobile GIS was exploited as a tool, provide the users with the ability to collect the geographic information, update to server, and demonstrate through the Web applications.
