Abstract :
The site diversity experiment of PTT Netherlands has been designed for the purpose of obtaining data for the development of a prediction method for `fade counter measure´ systems. To complement this specific experiment the PTT Netherlands is cosponsoring the experiments of the University of Delft (TUD) and the University of Eindhoven (TUE). At Delft area rainfall intensity measurements are made, using a 9.4 GHz FMCW radar. At Eindhoven the `full beacon´ measurements are made. The attention is focussed on two subjects. The first concerns the site diversity aspect, the second the influence of the atmosphere on the differential co-polar phases at 12.5 and 30 GHz
