Abstract :
The feasibility of using ultrasound to induce cardiac muscle necrosis for the treatment of arrhythmias was investigated. Both computer simulations and in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that deep tissue necrosis can be generated using small ultrasound transducers on a 7F catheter
