Abstract :
Single-pass pumping of a thin disk consisting of a 50 mum epitaxial layer of 32% Yb-doped KLu(WO4)2 deposited on a KLu(WO4)2 substrate produced 9 W of output power near 1030 nm at 77% slope efficiency.
