With the developing application of information technology and advanced production techniques in the petrochemical industry, the informatization of the Chinese petrochemical industry becomes indispensable to participate in world competition and accelerate its development, of which the accomplishment of CIPS (Computer Integrated Processing System) is the basis and key. Under the informatization circumstances of the Chinese petrochemical industry, the mode-making, the systematic structure and the application of its essential information techniques of CIPS complementation are discussed in this article.
