Abstract
The popularity of the Internet provides a platform for creating, sharing and communicating of content information. Increasing development of network technology caused a revolution of the meaning, form and creation process of content. According to the consumption patterns and reading habits, the paper analyzed the characteristic of web publishing under the environment of cross-media, including the product, consumption, industry and business rules. The intention of doing this is to construct different business model of digital publishing. It will be important both for publishing industry changing from traditional to digital and for sustainable development of publishing industry.
