Abstract
Presents a technique for improving the amplitude and phase characteristics of multiport networks with upwards of 100 output ports. A program has been developed which combines in-house written software for analysing stripline networks with a NAg quasi-Newton optimiser. The program places equal emphasis on each frequency in a given band. Its advantage over commercially available software is its capability to design any size of stripline network. As an example, measurements are presented for a 62-way stripline power divider
