Abstract
In order to improve the quality of consumer displays and combine with VGA display, the progressive scan mode has been introduced in consumer display terminals. A video processing IC designed for consumer progressive scan TV is described. The main functions of the IC are motion-adaptive de-interlacing, noise reduction, color transient improvement and color space conversion. The IC also contains the analog section and four channel 9-bit video D/A converters are used to convert digital RGB and luminance to analog signals. The 0.35 μm triple-metal CMOS technology is used for fabrication
