Abstract :
This paper presents a folded-cascode operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), which allows direct, inverted or no signal transconductance without the use of transmission gates in the signal path. Therefore, the OTA is not only an active filter element, but can also replace the switching network otherwise necessary in field programmable analog arrays. It achieves a maximum gain-bandwidth of 186 MHz in a 0.13 ¿m 1.2 V CMOS technology consuming 1.1 mW. This paper presents design methodology and measurements of linearity, process variation, and signal blocking.
