Abstract
In most agent-based systems, the abilities of agents are unchangeable. The agent´s abilities cannot change anymore since it has been created. This pattern restricts the flexibility of the agent, especially in a distributed and dynamic environment. To avoid the restriction, an assemble-on-demand agent that can assemble new component in run time to enhance its abilities, is presented in this paper. The properties, behavior, architecture, and correlative key techniques of assemble-on-demand agent are expatiated. Furthermore, experiment that based on Aglets is presented in the paper
