Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the framework of ad-hoc cognitive radio network (ad-hoc CRN), the network model and the dynamic spectrum access (DSA) for ad-hoc cognitive radio network first. Moreover, the motivation for cross-layer design in ad-hoc cognitive radio network is analysis. At last, we proposed a novel architecture in which the dynamic channel allocation is achieved by a cross-layer design between the PHY and MAC layers for ad-hoc cognitive radio network. Simulation indicated the performance of network is improved significantly.
