Abstract :
The author describes some results on radio propagation characteristics obtained in the experiment using the Engineering Test Satellite V (ETS-V) and the Boeing 747 (B747) on the North Pacific (NOPAC) route. As short-term level variation characteristics, the carrier to multipath power ratio (C/M), the 1% to 99% fading range, the level crossing rate (LCR) and the fading bandwidth at various satellite elevation angles were obtained. Long term level and frequency variation were obtained and analyzed
