Travel information highway

The Travel Information Highway provides the backbone framework to facilitate real-time management of travel information providers and integration between different transport modes. The availability of this common pool of real-time information will also encourage new services promoting choice and improved information services for travellers. The TIH "market place" for the exchange of information will allow a proportion of the commercial revenue generated by information services to be available to operators to enhance the provision of real-time information. This framework is sustainable but the success and speed of development of the TIH is the responsibility of the whole. travel information community
