Abstract :
This paper presents the channel performance of Korea´s direct broadcasting satellite (DBS) using a quasi analytic simulation method to show the existence of uplink/downlink adjacent channel interference (ACI), cochannel interference (CCI), and Gaussian noise. Using the QA simulation which require one to correctly calculate the noise process and the Eb/No (bit energy/noise power) values of received signal, this paper compares the practical observed BER (bit error rate) and the simulation results
