Abstract :
The 5300 MHz Radarsat SAR (synthetic aperture radar) antenna is configured as a 15m × 1.5m array of slotted waveguides. The authors describe the rationale and implementation of a scheme to provide a rigorous electrical characterisation of the properties of the radiating slots, making it possible to arrive at an optimum design for the 13000 slots in a complete SAPA (SAR antenna panels assembly)
