Abstract :
This paper reviews in summary form some of the contributions of COST-231 members to the study of the performance of the DECT system. Essentially, this has comprised three parts: radio link performance (and performance improvements via diversity and equalisation), propagation characterisation and network performance. The results reported here are concerned specifically with the limitations of performance due to the radio link in hostile environments, and the possible improvements via the use of diversity and/or equalisation
