Abstract
Fuel Cells are regarded as a promising method for power generation in the future, offering reduced emissions and higher efficiency. The solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stands out as having, potentially, the highest conversion efficiency; however it also presents significant technical problems to realisation. The paper discusses the major issues in designing the power conversion for SOFCs, highlighting both the cause and a proposed method of solution.
