Abstract :
This paper presents a new technique for track-following control in hard disk drives, in order to achieve high tracking precision of magnetic read-write heads uniformly for a large number of disk drives. The main contribution of this paper is to propose a new technique to specify the uncertainty bound for voice-coil-motor and an iterative design procedure to design an optimal controller with robust stability.
