Abstract
The occurrence of Geotechnical catastrophe caused by high slope has been a serious constraint on economic development of the mountainous city. A mountainous city high slope risk management information system based on the GIS is established by integrating the mountainous city high slope hazards risk evaluation model with graphic processing and spatial analysis function of the GIS together. The system is made up of a database module, an editing module, an analysis module, a query and display module as well as a webgis module. On the basis of collecting, storing, searching for, and managing relevant information, the system can perform the regional assessment and vulnerability assessment of geotechnical high slope risk.
