  • Abstract
    In order to protect human life, property and marine environment, it is necessary to improve crew´s basic and professional skills, a sense of social responsibility, a good work ethic and an emergency response ability. From the point of view of crew training, the present study discuss on the effect of such factors as ship´s emergency response procedure, individual crew member´s emergency response and responsibility and assessment of security on board on preventing and controlling emergency situation. Human factors are emphasized to realize the safe operation of ship.
