In recent years, many multimedia requests have been posed with the development of broadband networks. Against this background, this article introduces the DAVIC (Digital Audio-Visual Council) specifications and a reference design of set-top-box which is given by Broadcom Corporation. The article designs a new VOD system based on the reference design
