  • Abstract
    Face detection is the basis of the human face image pattern recognition processing. It has a very important role. This paper focused on the problem of face detection in the color image with complex background. A new face detection method based on Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT) average template-pair phase correlation matching was presented. The face image expressing in the CIE Lab color space and the method to buildup the eyes and faces average template-pair were analyzed. The quantum state vector encoding of the corresponding phase-only image was discussed. The QFT was used to compute the phase correlation between the phase-only images, realizing the face detection in the color image with complex background. The experiment showed that this method had a good detection ability for the different image resolution, single or several face with variety image background.
