Abstract :
From the chi-square statistical model we establish a new statistical representation of the detected signal in Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) system. Considering Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) in addition to Multiple Access Interference (MAI), we show that the photodetected signal is characterized by a mixture of chi-square distributions. The constraints on the system parameters are determined by analysing the performances issued from simulations based on this model.
