Abstract
One of the challenges in pervasive computing is to provide personalized services which satisfy individual user goals. To achieve this, rich context information including user preferences need to be considered. This paper describes a personalization approach which is adopted in the European project Daidalos. It plays a paramount role in service composition, assists in QoS configuration, and provides support to the underlying network layer whilst user privacy is taken into account
