Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze two kinds of sub-optimal joint detection algorithms-ZF-BLE (zero forcing block linear equalizer) and MMSE-BLE (minimum mean square error block linear equalizer). In theory, we compare their performance by computation and the ability of resisting ISI and MAI. Also, given different channel-impulse responses, various noise covariance matrices, single or smart antennas, we simulate their performance in up-link and down-link. Then we achieve conclusions on how to select them in practice
