Abstract :
The paper describes a new low cost angle generator intended for the calibration of autocollimator. The description of the working principle is followed by the detailed calibration procedure which is based on the comparison principle. The small angles are derived from relatively large displacements. Following the presentation of the operation of the small angle generator, the various error sources are discussed. Finally the paper discusses the calculation of the extended calibration uncertainty in details.
