Abstract
In this paper we describe a stochastic model for particle diffusion and binding within cell nuclei, and a numerical approximation of it that is well suited for numerical simulation and investigation of Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP) experiments. An overview of the theory and of the implementation of the method is given. Simulation results are reported and are used to analyze data from real photobleaching experiments, mainly at a qualitative level.
