Enterprise multimedia streaming: issues, background and new developments

This paper describes the enterprise multimedia streaming problem and highlights its requirements and specific issues. These issues are grouped into three broad areas: infrastructure, streaming and applications. This paper also presents an overview of current research in several diverse areas that is relevant to solutions for enterprise streaming, and highlight directions for further development. Thus, it is easy to generate interest in designing novel solutions and applications for enterprise streaming.
