Abstract :
Guangzhou implemented e-government project which provided good opportunity to achieve the Government´s reform of the management functions. The basic information platform mainly included basic database system, meta-data management system, data applications and services system, directory services system and government system based on directory service. It was the general framework and the basis of e-government which played a central role in the e-government and digital Guangzhou. It formed a communication bridge among the information island of government affairs system and broke the chaotic situation of individual e-government. As public information service establishment and electronic government support in Guangzhou, the basic information platform of electronic government drove the sustainable and healthy development of electronic government. This paper which took Guangzhou as an example introduced the present status of electronic government, discussed the development principle and the framework structure based on the principle, and looked forward to the application prospect and meaning under its digital city and electronic government background.
