Abstract
Cable, satellite and television industries are being revolutionized by the advances in technology. As a result of advances in communication technology, there are new opportunities for content distributors to increase and diversify their revenue streams. As the television content becomes increasingly digital, the delivery of television program content to the home television and the home computer (via the Internet) are using the same infrastructure, making the distinction between television and the personal computer increasingly blurred. This paper introduces four new advertising schemes as methods of transmitting advertisements to consumers. It also compares and contrasts these solutions in their technical aspects and presents several issues related to these solutions
