Abstract :
This paper proposes a fractional-order sliding mode-extremum seeking controller (FO SM-ESC) for optimal search of unknown nonlinear systems. The proposed FO SM-ESC combines extremum seeking controller with FO sliding mode dynamics, in which FO proportional-integral (PI) sliding surface is adopted. FO SM-ESC can not only guarantee the output near the optimum point but also own a faster convergence speed and higher accuracy than integer-order (IO) SM-ESC with proportional (P) sliding surface. Fair comparisons of the FO/IO SM-ESC via simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
