  • Abstract
The planning and development of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone(CCEZ) has become one of the hotspot of regional economic development as well as is the core problem of leading and driving the rapid economic growth in China´s western area. Based on the feature analysis on the economic structure evolution of CCEZ, this paper uses spatial statistical analysis to give a correlation analysis on the agglomeration state of regional economic development structure of the CCEZ since 2002. By comparing with the typical areas of five major economic zones and four major urban groups in China, from the perspective of time and space, this paper comprehensively analyzes the internal and external economic disparities of CCEZ and the evolution process of regional economic development, and thereby draws some relevant conclusions.
