Abstract
Results from the statistical analysis of fade time duration intervals from 2 years of attenuation measurements on five converging links operating at 15 GHz situated in the great Sao Paulo area in Brazil are presented and discussed. Analyses are concerned with characterising the behaviour of the number of events of a given level of attenuation being exceeded and the time duration of such events. These studies can be used to ascertain reliability parameters for the system, such as availability and quality, as well as to aid the design of cost-efficient fade
