Abstract
This paper presents the design and prototype development of a wireless receiver to supply power to biomedical devices used inside the human body. It is designed using the principle of magnetic induction to supply approximately 100 mW of power. Single coil and 3-coil orthogonal configurations are investigated, including simulations in SPICE. Prototype for a single coil receiver was developed and tested, where good correlation between simulation and experimental results was achieved. These initial experiments and prototype have formed the basis for developing a battery-free, miniature power supply system for biomedical devices
