Abstract :
Information overload and inappropriate is becoming one of the problems that hinder the effectiveness of e-government services. We need an effective personalized platform and technology to solve this problem. Gridding management is a new management model and it was successfully applied on city management system such as police work, city environment and sanitation, traffic management, and water management etc. This study proposes a new e-government personalized information services platform architecture based on the ideas of girdding management. Government information resources must be subtly subdivided into different grid units and integrated in uniform platform revolving around the personalized information needs of public, so as to facilitate the public to find the information they need quickly. It can also check the validity of the user´s information needs, arise userpsilas potential information needs, provide effective support for the sustaining changes in the personalized information services oriented the information needs of public.
