Abstract
Today, the application of value engineering in the scheme optimization of construction project is getting more and more mature. While, determination of the function weight is one of the critical decision milestones for realizing the quantitative evaluation of value engineering. The main aim of this paper is to structure a practical application model on determining index weights of evaluation system for construction scheme selection. Basic principles of triangle fuzzy number and index number scale are introduced. Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), based on the index number scale, is utilized to model the weight vector determination. Then, after structuring the fundamental hierarchic system, the model is performed with a case application on scheme optimization of a teaching and laboratory building in campus. The weight vector of function evaluation index system is figured out, and the methodology is clarified.
