Abstract
In Distributed Virtual Environment, the number of data is very large. How to effectively manage and share these data was very important. Ontology is a philosophical concept originally. It can realize knowledge sharing and reusing. According to the character of ontology, a new data management framework ODMF was put forwarded in this paper. This framework was based on ontology and all data information was standardized. In this framework, ontology was used to realize data sharing. Because data model has different type, this new framework architecture has three different types. And a disease data ontology was built in experiment. Experimental results show that using this framework can solve the problem of data sharing. Otherwise, data using efficiency was improved.
