Abstract :
We report the first successful micro-pulling down method growth and ultraviolet emission from a Ce:LiCAF crystal. With two-side pumping configuration, 23% slope efficiency is obtained from the 290-nm emission of a 30 mm-long, 2 mm-wide Brewster-cut crystal.
