Abstract :
Garments of the future tend to increase functionalities by integrating components such as sensors for monitoring. Materializing these wearable intelligent textiles systems revealed the need for imperceptible integration of off-body communication devices. Planar textile patch antennas were introduced and carefully studied. However, when integrating textile-based antennas that operate at a frequency of 2.45 GHz into a garment, attention should be dedicated to the influence of environmental relative humidity.
