Abstract
This paper presents a rule based heuristic approach for the supply restoration of distribution systems. By using a powerful object-oriented graphical interface developed on a G2 platform, the algorithm proposed can determine the topology of the system and find the best possible reconfiguration to restore the out of service area in the distribution system. The algorithm and reasoning are developed for generic distribution systems and demonstration is presented by test examples.
