Abstract
The availability of a Computer Controlled Multichannel Analyzer (MCA) Measurement System, for partial discharge (PD) measurements, opens interesting possibilities to develop software tools devoted to assist the calibration procedures. In this paper, a calibration routine designed to establish a correlation between the quantization level of the A/D converter and the apparent charge quantity in a complete test circuit, is presented and discussed. The proposed procedure is based on statistical processing of the calibration signals produced accordingly to IEC Std (1) or ASTM Std (2). In order to evaluate the correctness of the calibration results, some calibration factors are proposed
