Abstract :
Investigations were made on the character of partial discharges (PDs) in a flat, circular, airfilled cavity (height O.1 mm) with one dielectric and one metallic end-face. High frequency detection of PDs in the metal/dielectric cavity showed very characteristic pulse shapes, which partly could be related to discharge sequences inside the cavity
