Abstract
For the measurement of the radiation pattern of an antenna in an anechoic chamber, the antenna under test should ideally be illuminated by a perfect plane wave. In practice this will not be the case, firstly due to wavefront curvature because of the finite distance between the source and antenna under test, and secondly due to small but significant reflections from the chamber walls. The authors demonstrate how the wavefront quality in an anechoic chamber may be quantitatively assessed, using an angular superresolution algorithm to provide improved performance over the conventional Fourier method
