Abstract
The insolvability of the resistive n-port problem after five decades of persistent but unsuccessful attempts by the most ingenious network theorists suggests that some concepts may have been overlooked in previous considerations of the positive resistance network class. In this paper we consider these two concepts: (a) the network size, characterized by the parameter D2 (ohms), and (b) the weighted terminal valency, represented by the dimensionless terminal weight vector w
