Abstract :
This paper proposes a decoupled method to interface an electromagnetic transient (EMT) program with a transient stability analysis (TSA) program. The proposed method is achieved through mixed language programming and pipe technology. The framework for the combination of the EMT program and the TSA program based on the proposed method is given. Compared with the conventional embedded method, the decoupled method can easily adapt different interaction protocol strategies. An example is presented to illustrate the interface.
