Abstract :
Distribution networks must be adapted to achieve the main technical objectives of electric utilities: continuity of service; and safety of persons. Here, the author describes how cooperation between utility and manufacturer has proven to be useful to develop new MV switchgear designs, in particular new modular SF6 MV switchgear, better suited to cope with uncertainties of the changing social financial and technical situation
